This is a pre-filled review draft based on the platform currently implemented. The operator name and registered address have been inserted; the final legal wording must still be reviewed before launch.

1. Purpose and coverage

These Guidelines are issued by DaoJoy LLC, registered address: China Jiangsu Nanjing. DaoJoy connects travelers, local guides and authorized operations staff around real trips. These Guidelines apply to profiles, inquiries, proposals, trip messages, attachments, reviews, support requests, reports, public trip recaps and every other contribution made through DaoJoy. They apply to private and public content, although private content is accessed only under the authorization and operational boundaries described in the Privacy Notice.

Users must also follow applicable law, the Terms of Service and any safety instruction for the booking. Context matters, but travel, humor, translation or cultural difference does not excuse harm.

2. Respect and personal safety

Do not:

  • threaten, stalk, intimidate, harass, bully or encourage violence or self-harm;
  • attack or exclude a person based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or another protected characteristic;
  • engage in sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, trafficking, non-consensual sexual content or any sexual content involving a minor;
  • organize dangerous conduct, weapons misuse, illegal drugs, fraud, bribery or evasion of lawful safety controls; or
  • pressure a traveler or guide to meet privately, change the agreed service, share accommodation, consume alcohol or take another personal risk without freely given and revocable agreement.

Credible threats, exploitation and immediate safety risks may be escalated to emergency services or competent authorities where legally permitted or required.

3. Privacy and confidential information

Do not publish or send another person’s passport, identity number, financial credentials, precise home address, private phone number, medical record, live location, private message or other confidential information without lawful authority and a genuine service need. Never request passwords, verification codes, full card details or remote access to another person’s device.

Trip messages and location are for the active service and safety purpose. Do not copy them into public reviews or trip recaps. Blur or remove bystanders, children, tickets, QR codes and documents from public photos where appropriate. An adult must have authority before sharing information or images of a minor.

4. Authenticity, fraud and platform integrity

Do not impersonate a person or organization; fabricate qualifications, reviews, bookings or emergencies; manipulate ratings; send spam or repetitive solicitations; use malware or deceptive links; evade a suspension; abuse refunds or chargebacks; or interfere with security, availability and audit records.

Guides may not misstate credentials, availability, price, inclusions or who will perform the service. Travelers may not submit false party, payment, accessibility or incident information. Neither party may use DaoJoy to divert an accepted booking to undisclosed off-platform payment or to avoid applicable safety and support protections.

5. Illegal, restricted and unsafe services

Do not offer, request, arrange or promote anything unlawful in the place where it occurs. This includes unlicensed regulated activity, counterfeit or stolen goods, corruption, trafficking, exploitation, unauthorized access to restricted sites, wildlife crime and instructions primarily intended to facilitate wrongdoing.

DaoJoy is not a marketplace for dating, employment, housing, financial products, medical treatment, immigration advice or unapproved third-party reservation services. Do not use trip tools for unrelated commercial activity or stranger social networking.

6. Intellectual property and content quality

Submit only content you created or have permission to use. Do not infringe copyright, trademark, portrait, privacy or other rights. Reviews must reflect a genuine service experience. Public profiles and trip recaps must be accurate, relevant and free of undisclosed advertising.

A traveler may submit one review only after an eligible completed booking with an assigned guide. The current product accepts a rating from 1 to 5 and text from 10 to 2,000 characters, with one edit available during the first 48 hours after submission. A trip recap begins as a private traveler-created draft, may contain no more than 12 images and becomes public only after the traveler submits it and DaoJoy approves it. A public recap must not expose private chat, a full route, hotel or flight details, order numbers, contact details, credentials or precise locations; publication removes available EXIF and GPS metadata.

Content must not contain raw credentials, hidden tracking, malicious code, unsafe links, manipulated media intended to deceive, or AI-generated claims presented as verified facts. Translations and AI-assisted drafts must be checked by the submitting user before publication. DaoJoy may label, correct, reject or remove misleading or low-integrity public content.

7. Reporting and moderation

Use the in-app report or support path for harassment, privacy, impersonation, illegal content, unsafe conduct, spam or misleading information. In an emergency, contact official emergency services first, then use DaoJoy’s safety tools if it is safe to do so. Preserve relevant order and message records; do not retaliate against a reporter or witness.

During an active trip, blocking another participant pauses direct messaging between the affected users and stops active location sharing. It does not cancel the booking; the authorized concierge or support flow may take over necessary trip communication.

DaoJoy may use automated signals and trained reviewers to assess reports. Depending on severity, context and history, action may include no action, a warning, reduced visibility, content rejection or removal, communication limits, cancellation review, account suspension or referral to authorities. We may preserve restricted material where necessary for safety, disputes, appeals or legal compliance.

We will avoid disclosing a reporter’s identity unless disclosure is authorized, necessary to investigate fairly or legally required. An available moderation appeal must be submitted through the stated path, generally within 30 days of the action. An appeal does not delay urgent safety measures.

8. Enforcement principles

DaoJoy considers the content, surrounding conversation, participant roles, service state, likelihood of harm, intent where reasonably knowable, prior conduct and applicable law. We aim for proportionate and consistent action, but serious safety or legal risks may require immediate restriction before a full review. No user is entitled to continued publication or platform access where doing so would violate law or expose others to unreasonable risk.

9. Changes and contact

These Guidelines may be updated as product risks, community needs or law change. The current version and effective date are shown with the document. Material changes that affect required user conduct will be notified and may require renewed acceptance.

Questions, reports or appeals: use the relevant in-app flow or email hello@daojoy.com. Do not send sensitive evidence by ordinary email unless support specifically instructs you to do so.
